In the end though it was still the south that attacked first, don't blame Lincoln for being smart enough to use the situation to gain political traction

as for the claim that Lincoln sent resupply after conceding Fort Sumter to the south, I can't find anything to corroborate that. from what I've always read it wasn't "conceded" (informally) until Anderson evacuated the fort. you might be referring to Buchanan who told the governor of South Carolina he wouldn't immediately occupy Fort Sumter (key word being immediately lol) and if thats not what you meant then idk what you're talking about
