Cady, can you paint my space ship?

assuming it would never enter the atmosphere i could paint the sections before they are assembled, but as it stands now current technology demands high friction surfaces be covered with ceramics due to the heat of re-entry. I would have to use a high heat industrial 2 part epoxy polymer to paint it, which runs around 150 bucks a gallon. How many square feet we looking at here? I can give you an estimate :D

haven't calced the actual square feet yet. It's pretty huge though. No Earl Shibe job. I need some high heat stuff since i'm traveing at the speed of light. A nice silvery color would be nice.

well you'll want to avoid gloss finishes, perhaps a titanium powder coat would give you the optimal color and durability as well as allowing you to remain somewhat less visible at any range.

that's the ticket. Titanium. Send me a rough quote on 1000,000 sq foot.

ugh i hate math, hold on calculator time:

1,000,000 sq ft divided by 425 (thats the sq ft coverace of 1 gallon) gives you your gallons needed, multiply that bt the CPG (cost per gallon) and your bottom line is 294,125 in materials, now standard retail markup plus labor, and i can do it for 3/4 million bucks.

I'll write you a check. I need it done before the SHTF so I can watch the chaos from space.
When are you available?
