you can be charged a max of 40 bucks now for playing pre recorded music at any event :bird:
there's got to be a million douchebag wannabe dj's making shitty beat loops in garagae band so fine rather than paying $40 per track and promoting your $25 skrillex record to our patrons we'll hire one of them for $3 an hour and a few free beers. way to go recording industry keep on committing suicide we'll all be happier when you're gone.

the best part is apparently there will be inspectors nation wide to check up on events who will eat up a hourly wage and cost of gas to charge at most 40 bucks thats what i call good use of our taxpayer money

$40 per event? Seems like it would be $40 per track or $40 per copyright holder

no 9 dollars for up to 20 people and like 40 dollars for 500+ its pretty stupid
who is this money even going to then? I just assumed they were going to have to pay the individual copyright holders

do you have a, link i would, like to read, more about this,
technically youre supposed to pay a very large fee before hand for playing recorded music or even turning on the radio at an event or business in the united states
