The vagina is made up of different parts. The vulva is the outer area that can visibly be seen on the outside of the female body. The vulva is considered an external part of the female body. The labia minora are often called the inner lips. These two flaps of skin are on either side of the vaginal opening. The labia majora are the larger folds of skin on either side.
