not for everybody
Hollingsworth still got taken for a $1, by some under-cutting prick willing to work an illegal slave-wage, and thus should have not been legally working at all.
So Joe's got it coming, too when labor gets involved. And then we get to go further down the rabbit hole, discovering just how that markup in the wine originated. Because if any mug could make a buck by buying something low in place A and selling it high in place B, then there would be billions of dollars in customs enforcements and trade restrictions established between regions A and B in order to cut that shit out. "Sorry mugs, you gotta pay to play."
I think the comic basically illustrates the "free market" as being some sort of ornate and colorfully-wrapped racket.
realistically it's the only system we've come up with that's remotely fair to everyone

Lucky Ducky has yet to finish his four years at the University of Oregon college (Go Ducks). He suffers from chronic quack pain and because of his preexisting quackdition, he cannot get health care coverage. He works a hard 9 hour day in local pond, cleaning the grass from the pieces of bread park-goers throw at him. In the evening, he tries to go to classes, but it's often to painful for him to go, so he stays home covering his feathers in oil.
You really think Lucky Ducky is so lucky, conservatives?

that would only work if we executed everyone who refuses to work
