you guys I've been away from home for 23 days.
I've fought 12 separate wildfires, I performed a recovery mission for a dog in distress, I've seen thousands of gallons of water dropped from helicopters.
I supported the local economy of Missoula and the surrounding regions by purchasing locally crafted goods, and I met many new friends from across the country.
I have done much, my internet brethren, and I am home safely.
It's good to be home.

Wow, adair.
It's weird, cause I thought about you a few times while I was in Montana.
On Reserve St in Missoula there's a store caller Adair Jewelers and I passed by it every day I was in town.

I'm going through them right now deleting the boring ones and the ones out of focus and just the generally unimportant ones.
my camera was accidentally on burst mode for a few days so I have literally over 2000 pics to go through.
I'll have them uploaded in a few hours.
awesome, glad you have the time to do all that finally, have a few beers too sounds like you earned em

was the dog ok?
...it was not :(
it died like 20 seconds before we pulled up, the lady was freaking out hella.
I drove her home in her car and we brought the dog in our truck, and we buried it for her in her yard.

Not really. I mean, by the time we got on scene it had transitioned from rescue mission to recovery mission. We completed our objectives and then went above and beyond.
