he got arrested? lol
yes for murdering a woman on her wedding day and stashing her behind a wall. I don't expect he'll be out any time soon.

is this just hear-say or what connects him with this
he claimed to work at yale and disappeared right when this dude was arrested. it's probably a coincidence but it's good enough for me.

I really like my new avatar, I'm glad I decided to go dig up my old melvins cd's today they have a lot of great avatars in their various artworks

i've thought about changing my avatar but if i do people will probably forget who i am so i'm leaving it the same
It's hard to break with an established avatar gimmick but I'm glad I did it, you can only come up with so many creative ways to use a deformed baby or a cat getting crushed to death.
funny thing is very little of their music sounds anything like grunge, I'd go so far as to call a lot of it metal
mudhoney on the other hand was basically "hey the melvins aren't ever going to be popular I'm going to leave them and go copy nirvana who copied the melvins"

can't really accredit an entire genre to just one band because they all emerged as local bands out of certain regions, and for every one local band that got famous there are 2500 other ones that didn't, and they tend to all sound the same

nirvana brought it into the mainstream, and kurt cobain started out as a little nerd hanging out with the melvins and carrying their equipment for them. that's as close to a direct link as you're going to get.
fyi they're personal friends of, and supposedly big influences on, tool

i'll try to get into them but usually if a band doesn't just 'click' for me right away i have a very difficult time getting into them

I'm not pressuring you into anything, I only suggested them to you because I thought you'd like them. I'm talking about them now because I've just rediscovered them and listened to them all day and it's my latest obsession. It'll last a week or so and I'll move onto something else, you know how it goes with music.
they're fucking great for avatars though I must say that
